Sculptor Suzie Edwards studied life sculpture part time at Hampstead School of Art and then Morley College for over 12 years. Having access to life models allowed Suzie to become a skilled portrait sculptor and also observe anatomy and human movement to inform her figurative work. She now has her own studio but regularly attends masterclasses as part of her professional development. Suzie has organised her own exhibitions with other local artists and has had pieces selected by juried exhibitions. Suzie works primarily in clay and wax, having her work cast in bronze using the lost wax method. She also casts in Jesmonite, resin and plaster. Suzie runs workshops introducing beginners to the joys of portrait sculpture.
